Lana Krayterman is an active piano teacher, soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist, having taught and performed locally in the Tri-state area as well as in Russia and Europe. She has received various prizes and scholarships, including the International Piano Competition in Warsaw, International Chamber Music Competition in Prague, and European Summer Academy in Salzburg.
She loves to teach and impart her knowledge of music to all of her students. Her warm and patient teaching approach is particularly suitable for beginners, but her exceptional performance background and artistry give her the ability to confidently teach and prepare students at the most advanced levels.
Mrs. Krayterman obtained her Master’s degree from the University of Oregon and graduated with honors from the Belarusian State Conservatory and the Gnessin State Musical College (Moscow, Russia). She proudly represents the Russian piano teaching tradition that lays down the foundations for a relaxed way of playing, which gives confidence and technical security, while enabling one to produce a beautiful "singing" tone on the piano.
Besides teaching piano at Piano Players, Mrs. Krayterman also teaches classes at the University of Cincinnati.

While at Miami University, she was a soloist with the Collegiate Chorale and Chamber Singers. In February 2020, Anna made her operatic debut as Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro, a production that won an award from the National Opera Association for Best Collegiate Production. Some of her other roles at Miami University include Signora Naccarelli (The Light in the Piazza), a Field Mouse (The Wind in the Willows), and a Hippie Fairy (Hydrogen Jukebox).

Karen Mall has extensive experience as a soprano soloist, teaching voice, directing musical theater classes, and leading choral groups of all sizes and ages. In addition to teaching voice and beginner piano at Piano Players, Mrs. Mall conducts community and church choirs in Mason, and judges choral competitions for Festivals Edge.
In her own words, Karen "spends most of the days and nights doing what she loves... coaching singers to make music with the instrument they were born with - their voice!" Through a wide variety of musical styles, Mrs. Mall helps vocalists create stellar performances, so judges are impressed, and audiences are entertained! She believes that great singers make the best progress by taking private lessons, singing in ensembles, and performing for audiences. Joining a school choir, participating in a musical, or cantoring at church can provide opportunities for solo and group singing and she is happy to help students find a place to sing.
Music takes most of Mrs. Mall's professional and spare time, but she manages to show up at Mom’s for dinner every night and to pick up Beaux ReGuarde, her basset hound. Karen Mall is thrilled to be a part of Piano Players, and can’t wait to sing with YOU!
